Every year, Parque de la Costa theme park goes all out for Halloween. But let's be real, with so many scary movies on streaming, more and more folks are just staying home to get their fright fix.

That's why we decided to dare horror fanatics with a chilling experiment: Which is scarier for Halloween: a roller coaster or a horror movie?

We brought together 26 people to first watch a terrifying film, then brave one of our roller coasters. With medical pros and tech experts on hand, we tracked their fear by measuring their heart rate and the volume of their screams.
